I got hold of a first copy of this book, and found there are more than a hundred recipes for lattes, teas, hot chocolates, yogurt and frozen drinks, sodas, mocktails and infused waters – all without sugar.
What is amazing is that every drink I have tried so far is freaking fantastic. Every one. I had no idea that you could make such good drinks so easily. Carrie uses extracts of many flavors, and erythritol – a healthy, low glycemic sweetener – combined with simple ingredients you can get in most normal groceries or on Amazon. Unlike most other cookbooks, she has a whole chapter on what extracts actually are, and how to work with the simple ingredients, like coconut milk, cocoa powder, and erythritol. The book is full of great pictures, too, so you can see what you are going to make. The Rose Green Tea Frappe is next on my list.
