Chilling, Molding, and Freezing Pops

When Using Gelatin:

  • Once the mixture is made pour it into your molds while still warm. Slightly underfill your molds. For silicone or flexible molds place on a cookie sheet prior to filling.
  • Being sure to hold the mold level, gently bang the mold on the counter for several minutes to eliminate air bubbles.
  • Leave to cool to room temperature on the counter.
  • Once at room temperature, place in the fridge to chill thoroughly for several hours.
  • Once chilled, move to the freezer to freeze and leave to freeze for several hours.
  • To unmold from a non-silicone mold, hold and turn mold under warm running water for 30 seconds and then slide the pop out.
  • Wrap in wax or parchment paper and store in an airtight container in the freezer.


When Not Using Gelatin:

  • Once the mixture is made, allow to cool to room temperature.
  • Pour into your molds. Slightly underfill your molds. For silicone or flexible molds place on a cookie sheet prior to filling.
  • Being sure to hold the mold level, gently bang the mold on the counter for several minutes to eliminate air bubbles.
  • Carefully transfer to the freezer and leave to freeze for several hours. 
  • To unmold from a non-silicone mold, hold and turn mold under warm running water for 30 seconds and then slide the pop out.
  • Wrap in wax or parchment paper and store in an airtight container in the freezer.
